Design Process

Understanding the needs of our clients and the aspirations they have for their home is vital to the success of the interior design process. During our initial "no obligation" meeting, we will assess the property’s current layout and discuss ideas with our clients to enable us to understand their needs better. We will also discuss the services we can offer and the possible budgets and timescales involved.

We can recommend architects, structural engineers and building contractors and advise on planning and building regulation requirements. We manage and coordinate the whole process.  We are happy to work with our client's own preferred contacts for any of these services, if necessary.  NJ Celeste uses the industry standard BIID ID/10 Contract which gives our clients peace of mind and reassurance of a professional service.

A detailed brief is taken. If architectural drawings are needed, these will be presented, to include elevations and floor plans for submission to your local planning office.  Once basic layouts are agreed, electrical, plumbing and utilities will be added.

Designs are also developed for kitchens and bathrooms, furniture and wardrobes.  Soft furnishings and accessories are discussed and ideas will be presented using mood boards, samples and drawings.

Project management and coordination play a big role in the success of any building project. At NJ Celeste we pride ourselves in the detailed supervision of the build and design process, overseeing all contractors from foundation through to final fix.  This includes frequent site visits and client meetings for the duration of the project, keeping our clients informed at every stage.  It is as important for us, as it is for our clients, that they enjoy the creation of their home and that they are happy and excited with the final finish.

Following completion and final sign off we continue to support our clients should they have any queries.
